8 Months Baby Food Recipes

By the age of 8 months usually a baby is able to eat more verity of food such as cheese, egg, bean, and tofu. Here are some recipes using those ingredients.

 

Cheese and Tofu Mix

Ingredients:

40 g of tofu

20 g of cheddar cheese

50 g of rice

20 g of spinach/ carrot/ pumpkin

How to make it:

Soak the rice in the water for 2-3 hours. Then cook it with a glass of water until it became rice porridge. Just before it cooked add the vegetable (if you use carrot or pumpkin, because they took a while to cook, not like spinach) When it cooked, add the tofu and cheese. Mix it for few seconds and it’s all done. Then put them in the blender for softer texture or use stainless steel strainer.

Nutrition Fact:

This recipe is for 3 portions. Each portion contains more or less 120 kkal of energy, 6 g of protein, 4 g of fat, and 16 g of carbohydrate.

 

Strained Egg Porridge

Ingredients:

50 g of rice

750 ml of chicken stock

1 egg

20 g of spinach

How to make it:

Soak the rice in the water for 2-3 hours. Then cook it with a glass of water until it became rice porridge. Just before it cooked add the vegetable and the egg. Mix it well, and it’s done. Use the stainless steel strainer to make the porridge texture softer.

Nutrition Fact:

This recipe is for 3 portions and each portion contains more or less 110 kkal of energy, 5 g of protein, 3 g of fat, and 15 g of carbohydrate.

 

Red Bean Porridge

Ingredients:

20 g of rice flour (2 table spoons)

20 g of red bean 

1 tea spoon of honey

120 ml of sweet orange juice

 

How to make it:

Soak the red bean for 2-3 hours, then cook it in boiling water until it’s cooked and easy to crush or mush. In different pot, cook the rice flour with a half glass of water. When the rice flour is cooked, add the crushed red bean, add the honey and the sweet orange juice. Mix it well and ready to be served.

Nutrition fact:

This recipe is for 2 portions and each portion contains more or less120 kkal of energy, 4 g of protein, 0.5 g of fat, and 12 g of carbohydrate.
